Coming Home to Your Body: Small Group Journey

A trauma-informed small group program for nervous system regulation, reconnection, and embodied self-trust

Chronic stress and overwhelm can keep the nervous system stuck in patterns of survival — leaving us tense, scattered, or disconnected from ourselves.

This 12-week small group program combines nervous system education, somatic practices, and guided reflection to help you regulate, reconnect, and build self-trust in a supportive community.

The Struggle

When the nervous system is caught in survival mode, everyday life can feel overwhelming. You may notice:

  • Feeling scattered, on edge, or “all over the place”

  • Overriding your body’s signals just to get through the day

  • Patterns like people-pleasing, overworking, or shutting down

  • A sense of disconnection — from your body, your needs, or even from joy

These aren’t personal flaws. They’re biological responses to chronic stress, shaped by the body’s drive to keep you safe.

The Shift

With the right support, these patterns can begin to soften. Over 12 weeks in a small, supportive group, you’ll be guided to:

  • Understand how your nervous system works and why it reacts the way it does

  • Learn regulation tools you can return to in daily life

  • Build interoceptive awareness — the ability to notice and trust signals from your body

  • Explore new patterns that feel steadier and more sustainable

  • Experience the power of community: being seen, supported, and reminded you’re not alone

These practices support the nervous system in moving out of survival mode and into greater regulation, resilience, and connection.

Come home to the wisdom of your body.

Let’s slow down, tune in, and gently reconnect with what’s been there all along—you.

Week-by-Week: What You’ll Explore

This course is designed as a step-by-step process. Each week builds on the last, weaving together nervous system education, somatic practices, and guided reflection. The structure gives you a clear path to follow, while still leaving space to meet your unique needs and experiences along the way.

Week 1: Coming Home to the Body

Begin your journey by understanding disconnection and the many reasons we leave the body. Learn how culture and trauma impact embodiment—and what it means to begin again, gently.

Week 2: Meeting Yourself with Curiosity

Explore the protective nature of judgment and how to shift from inner criticism to compassionate curiosity. Learn to recognize judgment as a part of you—not all of you.

Week 3: Interoception: Listening Within

Discover the concept of interoception—the ability to feel internal signals—and practice naming sensations as a gateway to presence, safety, and inner trust.

Week 4: Orienting and Grounding

Learn how to use your senses to settle into the present moment. Explore orienting and grounding practices that help your nervous system feel safe enough to soften. Begin to gently expand your capacity to be with what’s here.

Week 5: Befriending the Body

Take a deeper look at your relationship with your physical body. Gently explore sensation mapping and practice being with your body in ways that are respectful, curious, and kind.

Week 6: Disconnection as Protection

Explore the many forms of disconnection—numbing, overdoing, zoning out—and understand them as protective patterns. Practice staying present in small, manageable ways.

Week 7: Feeling Feelings in the Body

Learn how emotions show up physically and how to stay with emotional experience without getting overwhelmed. Practice tracking sensation and naming feelings as they arise.

Week 8: Trusting Body Cues

Turn toward subtle body messages—hunger, thirst, rest, movement, boundaries—and begin to rebuild trust with your inner signals. Learn how honoring cues supports self-respect.

Week 9: Understanding Nervous System States

Use a polyvagal-informed lens to explore how your nervous system responds to the world around you. Begin to recognize your common patterns and how they show up in your body, behavior, and relationships.

Week 10: Working with Triggers

Learn what a trigger really is—and why it’s not a flaw, but a signal from your nervous system. Practice staying with your body when activated and explore supportive ways to respond with care.

Week 11: Tools for Regulation

Build your personal toolkit for nervous system regulation. Learn simple, body-based tools to support grounding, settling, and flexible responses to stress in everyday life.

Week 12: Integration & Celebration

Reflect on the journey you’ve taken. Celebrate growth. Revisit your tools. Name what’s next. Honor what it means to feel more at home in your body—and in your life.

About Your Guide

Hi, I’m Georgia Lynn — a trauma-informed yoga teacher and nervous system educator with advanced training in somatic practices, mindfulness, and healing-centered approaches.

I draw on nervous system science, trauma-informed yoga, attachment theory, and embodied practices, woven together with my own lived experience of navigating burnout and disconnection. My approach combines science and compassion to create spaces where healing feels safe, grounded, and sustainable.

I believe transformation doesn’t come from pushing harder, but from slowing down, listening inward, and tending to the parts of us we’ve long ignored. This work is about meeting yourself as you are, holding both the pain and the possibility, and reconnecting with the wisdom already within you.

If you’re longing to feel more at home in yourself — to live, create, and relate from a place that feels steady and true — I’d be honored to walk with you.
