Somatic Healing & Trauma-Informed Yoga in Atlanta — About Georgia Lynn

Atlanta trauma-informed yoga teacher, somatic healing in Atlanta, nervous system regulation

Why I Do This Work

I didn’t come to this work because I had it all figured out. I came because I needed healing—real, lasting healing. The kind that reaches beneath the surface, into the nervous system and the body’s patterns that kept me locked in survival.

When I began my first yoga teacher training in 2017, I was a new mom trying to unravel old trauma while creating the sense of safety I had never known growing up. That search didn’t follow a straight line. It led me into yoga, then deeper into the nervous system, somatic psychology, parts work, and mindfulness. Along the way, I learned through trial and error that the body holds what the mind can’t always process—and that compassion, curiosity, and consistent practice can soften even the most ingrained patterns.

I’ve discovered that healing isn’t one-dimensional. It’s not about doing more or fixing yourself. It’s about creating the conditions for safety, connection, and presence—so you can return to your body as a place of wisdom, truth, and home.

That’s why my work now weaves nervous system regulation, somatic healing, yoga, IFS-informed parts work, meditation, and mindfulness into a whole-person path of transformation. It’s a practice that honors both modern science and ancient wisdom, but most of all, it honors the messy, human process of finding your way back to yourself.

My Work Is Shaped By

My work is shaped by both study and lived experience. I draw from the wisdom of the body, the science of the nervous system, and the practice of yoga as tools for healing. Years of learning in somatic psychology, parts work, and trauma-informed yoga weave together with my own journey of coming home to myself after burnout, disconnection, and old survival patterns.

This blending of training and life experience allows me to create spaces that are both grounded in research and deeply human—places where healing feels possible, safe, and sustainable.
